And so I left my island again...

I have had recent complaints about my lousiness at keeping this blog updated.

Ok, it's SUMMER, I don't feel like being indoors stuck on a computer, but for the sake of being nice and complying, here goes.

Recently, I hitch hiked across half of Iceland with my boyfriend, spoke a lot of Icelandic (yes indeed), watched loads of good Icelandic films, raided a wool shop (ended up sending myself 3 kilos of it), ate whale (sorry for all of you hippies, it's a mammal as well *she said cynically* and whilst it's already dead, you may as well eat it..) and piles of rugbraud, saw HEAPS of birds, enjoyed the overwhelmingly welcome presence of my friends, spent AGES in swimming-pools and steam baths, saw an owl, went camping with Hrafn, bought a pair of pink trousers and coincidentally was given the coolest pink and white woolly socks two days later as a goodbye present (Thanks to Sigga, Oskar's mum!!!)

bathed in an poolfull of ash slept for about 3 weeks without a matress, flew over half an ocean, then fell rather than landed on the ramp at the airport in Paris on Bastille Day, from where I proceded to explore Normandy in the hopes of finding the illustrous town of Camembert. La Mairie de Camembert My namesake town (not Camembert)

And now, my hands are green as I have just painted a front door and I am about to leave this computer, and step out, for the sun awaits outside, and I have better things to do!
Bless bless!!!
